DTC

DTC stands for Diagnostic Trouble Code.
Codes such as:
P0401
P2002
P0420
P0135
are examples of DTCs.
A DTC-related solution deals with how supported ECU software handles specific diagnostic faults.
But there is a very important distinction:
Removing a DTC from software does not physically repair the component.
If a sensor is physically defective, hiding its diagnostic response does not make the sensor work again.
Correct diagnosis remains essential.

Not all DTCs originate from the ECU; there are DTC codes associated with modules such as the ABS and BSI.
These DTC codes cannot be deleted from the ECU file.
Sometimes, simply deleting the DTC is not the solution.
For instance, if the crankshaft sensor is faulty, deleting the error code does not solve the problem.

For all the modules we service, all relevant DTC codes are deleted.
